Getting Multiple Gmail Notifications for each Message

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 8. I use Gmail as my primary email app. Recently, I suddenly started receiving multiple notification tones for each email message I receive. I've changed the tone for Gmail and the multiple tones continued. Going to Settings -> Accounts -> Accounts, I see my normal Gmail account for Google is listed as well accounts set up for the default Email app and the Samsung account (see photo). I don't remember linking my Gmail account to the default Email or Samsung account. Would the multiple notification tones I'm receiving be coming from one or both of these other apps that my Gmail account is tied to? I can remove those other two but I'm warned that all messages, contacts, etc. will be deleted. Would those be deleted from my real Gmail account? Wacky stuff, this.

  • Question
I am confused about my "almost" rooted phone.

So, this is the first time I'm rooting a phone, but I am stuck. I:
  • Downloaded Odin
  • Flashed TWRP, vbmeta, and Disable Dm-Verity ForceEncrypt.
  • Did a data wipe on TWRP
  • Installed Magisk
But, I couldn't boot into the system. I get the normal boot screen, with this message:

The phone is not running Samsung's official software. You may have problems with features or security. and you won't be able to install software updates.

Now this is normal for a basic rooted phone, according to many sources. But, it stays on that screen until I force shut it down (Power + Volume up and down, then boot to TWRP and shut it down).

This phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It can still be put into download mode, this just happens when I try to boot the system up.
Any ideas? Please let me know!

Textra Default Contacts \ Share Option...

With hopes this makes sense here, as it definitely does in my head (sure:); when you go to share a picture from the gallery app or a file from the file app, for me Textra is my main texting app... That said I noticed that for a while now, instead of suggesting sending the file to the people I send files to the most, it either picks some random contact or a confirmation text I deleted long ago. (Like when you want to log into your bank account and it sends a security text, and you use it and delete it; yeah, it even suggest that as a contact!)

So is there away to add a default contact, or at least have it suggest the most recent \ often used contacts? Thank you in advance!

How to stop Google Maps from showing the Media Playback Controls if the setting to turn it off is not where the help documents say it is

How do I stop Google Maps from showing the Media Playback Controls if the setting to turn it off is not where the help documents say it is?

According to this page, I can turn off the media controls in Maps by going to Settings -- Navigation Settings -- Show media play back controls. However, on my phone, from in Maps (and not in a trip), I touch my picture in top right -- Settings -- Navigation Settings -- (and there's no "Show media play back controls"). I can't find that setting anywhere else, either. Makes me wonder how the controls were turned on but, more important, how do I turn it off?

I'm using Android version 13 on a moto g stylus 5g.

Thanks

Playing songs on my phone without Spotify

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 5G UW. I transferred songs from my computer to my phone. When I try to play them, at first a promt came up that said I needed to log into Spotify, then, after I logged in, after I again tried to play the songs, it said that Spotify couldn't play the song, that I needed Spotify premium or something. These songs are on my phone, aren't they? How can I play them without connecting to Spotify or having a premium account? Sorry if I sound naive.

"Fully charged in 8 hours"

OK, this was just a catch phrase but it did say it. Suddenly my Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is saying incorrect or bad charging times. It said "8 hours 12 minutes to fully charge at 19%" I unplugged and plugged back in "1 hour 55 minutes" I click the lock screen on and off "3 12 minutes until charged".

What could be going on here? the cable or phone or a glitch?

Samsung S9+ MDM Mode + the client doesnt remember screen lock password

Hi, I work in a technical assistance department and I'm still specializing in software, a week ago an S9+ sm-g9650 android 10 binary came in, the customer brought the cell phone here because she ended up forgetting the screen password, when I went to format the cell phone through recovery mode, the factory reset screen did not appear, since there was no such option, I downloaded the stock rom of the cell phone G9650ZHU9FVF2 and tried to install it via Odin and via SamFW Tool, but both software gave an error and a message appeared warning that the cell phone it was in mdm, I already tried to download cm.tar.md5 and install it in the AP part of Odin but it also gives an error and MDM remains blocked, I already tried to enter Brom mode to use ST-MTK Universal but it is not recognized in Chimera Tool! I don't remember when it was, but after a reboot it went from being a standard password to a password of letters and numbers with the following phrase "Your phone is encrypted for security. To initialize the device, enter your password." What do I do? I don't know what to do anymore!

Phone not working

Since about a week, I have a problem with both incoming and outgoing calls.
When someone calls me, connection is refused but I do see the call as "missed".
When I dial out, it simply refuses to connect.

This has happened now 3 or 4 times. Every time, restarting Android solves the problem temporarily.
But the problem comes back, and I don't know about it until someone contacts me through Whatsapp to tell me I am unreachable.

I have tried to clean the SIM card using alcohol, and repositioned it in the second SIM slot, but no change.
Since the call does come in as "missed", I am guessing the SIM card is not the cause.
But what is? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Flashlight icon greyed out, camera problems on Pocophone F1

Hi, my Pocophone F1 has a weird problem. The flashlight icon in the app drawer is greyed out like this:

I cannot access flashlight from camera app too, when I try to take photo with flash, the screen immediately changed to white color, then cream color with sun icon. When I take photo using the back camera, the result is normal, but after i got to gallery, the photo become mirrored. You can see here, the "LG" preview in bottom left looks normal.

But after opening it, it looks like this:

Sometimes opening portrait mode also result in "Camera error, Can't connect to camera".

I also attached a video here when i try to take photo with the flashlight. Thank you!

  • Question
"Do not disturb" mode don't hide notification icons

Good day to everyone.

I had moving from old smartphone with Android 8.1( Oreo ) to the new device with Android 12( Snow cone ). In the version 8.1 if i'm turning on the "Do Not Disturb" mode, then it not only muting the notification, but hiding all notification icons at top left corner of the phone screen till i'm gonna to turn off that mode. BUT within 12-th version of Android on my new device icons don't disapear( as you can see below on the screenshot with example of Facebook messenger notification icon ), but only sound is off when new notifications came.

I don't want to disable the push notifications for any app over Android settings because i care that suddenly something important will be sent to my phone. Nevermind whether notification is ad, message from messenger or something else. But from other side it's annoying to see these push notification icons cause they distract my attention when my break is out and i must go back to working place again.

I need just hide the notification icons somehow when i'm turning on the "Do Not Disturb" mode and when i turn off this mode, icons are appearing again like it was in the prevous versions of Android like 8 and older.

Whether is a way to do that ? How to do that ? Maybe here are special firmwares on Android or something else ?

Please, help me.

My old device
: Android 8.1, Asus Zenphone Max Pro M2 ( ASUS_X01BDA )
My new device: Android 12, Redmi 9 ( firmware MIUI Global 13.0.1 Stable )
