-I've been recently told this phone has a retinal eye scanner, so you can set the security feature to retinal recognition, only you would be able to access the phone, just like in the movies!!!
I read that on ebay.

I would think that something this advanced would have been leaked already. Can a software package make this happen with the camera? Maybe, but I don't think it's built in.

It's an app that's been developed. It's either in the link in the original post, or one of the couple other links that are further down the thread.
Edit: Here it is. http://code.google.com/android/adc_gallery/app.html?id=3
Edit again: Yah Cryptic, that's the method.

They should create an app that UNLOCKS the phone when you look into the camera.
They it will play an amazing MP3 tone as it unlocks, or denies access!?!?
Sure, someone can look over my shoulder as I draw a shape over the dots to unlock my phone.
But hopefully, no one will cut out my eye balls!

That would be a pain in the ass to use. I'd much prefer a pattern unlock than having to take a picture of my eye a zillion times a day.

It'd be cool for gaining access to certain files on your phone that are a bit more private or confidential.

Yup, and biowallet would be cool for that. I was just saying that the previous poster wanted to use it to unlock his phone, and for me that would be a pain, since I'm in and out of my phone many, many times during the day. I just woudn't use it.
With that said, I'm down with having something to guard sensitive information on my device. There's no provisions for doing that on a sidekick, and as a result, I don't keep anything on there that I wouldn't mind being printed on the front page of the sunday paper. It will be nice to have a secure spot to keep sensitive information.

What if it just took a second? or two?
I would.
1.security.
2.the geeky "WOW, my iPhone can't do THAT!" factor.

Ehhh, I don't see it taking a second or two. First thing, you have to allow access to the camera, even when the phone is locked. Next, no matter how you slice it, it's always going to take longer to do a biometric analysis of a picture than it would be to gesture a symbol on the screen. A few times a day, sure, no big deal -- but I'm in and out of my phone a LOT each day. All my email and IM's are pointed to my phone. I don't have any email clients other than what's on my phone, and the same with IMs. I made the switch years ago, so it's just second nature for me now.
As for the cool factor, sure, but honestly I could really care less what people think about my phone. The main thing is "does it do what I want, and does it do that efficiently?" If it meets those goals, then yep, i'm up for it. I just don't see that happening with biometric access.
As always, YMMV. :)

I guess I can agree with sleebus.jones (http://androidforums.com/member.php?u=554) for the first half of the argument.
But I would find it highly useful to access personal files or anything that you wouldnt want someone to have access too.
Hopefully they make an integrated options for BioWallet
