Motley fool is a pretty respectable news source, so I believe the number.
That is a HUGE presale response! Looks like all the folks who were slamming the device are being ignored by the consumer, which is good news. This is exactly what they need to get the marketplace moving...a million and a half folks who want apps! I just kinda wish they would mix in the pay apps at launch too, but maybe they are still working out billing issues, I know that's been a problem in the past with other phones.

I hope all 1.5 million of us playing with these things at once on the 22nd doesn't become a problem..

Well, technically all 1.5MM won't make it out the door at once. Should be interesting though. :)

1.5 MILLION. hmmmm
I like T-Mobile and I always try to think the best about them, but I have a very bad feeling about OCT 22nd. I have a feeling that alot of T-Mobile customers are gonna be upset, because there gonna be getting the phone after the 22nd.
You guys probably feel it too, I just cant imagine T-Mo pulling this off smoothly!
I havent been this hyped about anything since the Nintendo WII

Lol, well lets hope. I want to wake up early on the 22ND with the UPS man knocking at my door. I try to stay sunny. To tell you the truth if it was Verizon, At&t or even Sprint I would feel more comfortable, but T-Mo has always let there customers down over and over again.
So its kinda like the boy that cried wolf lol. I can see it now, 8:00AM on 10/22/08 T-Mo will have a huge banner on there website apolgizing to there customers.

Or we could wait and see, rather than making up scenarios?

Yea thats true, I called T-Mobile today and was told that the G1 should be shipping today by ground shipping and get here on or before the 22nd.
