Dropped into my local TMO store to see if they had one of the mockup G1's there just to get an idea of the size. They did have one there, and I goofed with it for a bit. Conclusion: feels great, keyboard is a bit too recessed for my tastes, but not a problem. Folks with long nails might have trouble. The "tail" on the end (i refuse to call it a chunk or chin) works great, it's comfortable, folks.
Then one of the employees pulled out a real live one. w00t! It was the bronze model and man, now I wish I would have got the bronze one. Really looks nice, not brown at all, but a nice shade of weathered bronze. Awesome, unique color.
Killer touchscreen, I didn't dig in too deep, because it was his personal device, but WOOO I am really stoked now. Come on Oct 21st!!
