My T-Mobile plans! (post here)

Everyone, could you please post if your data/text bundles online have changed to the G1 plan yet?

My t zones access through port 8080 seemed to stop working on my moto A1200 some time Monday. My G1 worked right away on EDGE yesterday. We have no 3G here yet.

I went from a Sidekick 2008 and popped in my SIM. Everything worked from the getgo. 3G/Edge, everything.

Been with T-Mobile for more than 10 months and (better) nearing the end of your contract? You have some leverage. Call customer care and ask for the 1000min Nights/Weekends plan for $39.99. If they tell you it's not available just tell them you're just going to have to return your phone and switch to another carrier because X online dealer has Y phone for Z price. They'll warm transfer you to Customer Loyalty, act REALLY nice because it's not policy but if you're nice we'll usually give you a break and let you in on the grandfathered rate plan for a 1yr contract and it's $10 less than the current variety.

Other things to ask for:
$9.99 Family Time Unlimited Texting
"Preferred" Rate Plans
Mention you have more friends on AT&T and so Mobile 2 Mobile is worthless and see if they have any way of making some of your calls to AT&T free. (We had a free MyFaves feature that could be added to accounts but we're not always supposed to give it out even in Loyalty.

I choose the [ 600 whenever minutes ] free nights and weekends after 9
Then go the Unlimited Texting and Internet
**Also go the 6.99 a month insurance**
Total will be a month = 89.72 :eek: :)

i got my g1 on the 10/22 but my internet is still not working i cant get on the 3g or the edge i live in ny i dont know if it's the setting or the plans not activated:(

since 2003 and i've gotten great plans for some time now. I got my G1 last Monday and as soon as I inserted the sim it was on the google network, up and running! i've always insured my phones and I encourage anyone who hasn't done it to do it.

i called and got the plan activated apparently the lady at the t-mobile store never added it on when i bought the phone >.> but it's all good now =)

Honestly, T tmobile has always seemed to go out of their way to keep us and we have been with them for like 6 or more years. Customer service has always been great and they gave us an unadvertised plan for years that just worked for us.

We got killed on a plan we were on and really went over our minutes big time and they gave us fab 5 for free, gave us a discount that was generous since they realised that we screwed up and it was not typical for us and got the family texting package etc. It saved us over like $30.00/month. We have 4 on our package.

Just giving credit were it is due.
