    Ugly battery icon gone!

    Just a heads up. Thanks to Good Lock and Multistar apps from the Galaxy store you can get split screen functionality back on your Note 8,and as a bonus for me that stupid battery icon in the status bar can be removed. Yey.

    WiFi sign in

    I was at a beach down Coquina and tried to connect to WiFi, failed, and now my phone tries to auto connect to Cable WiFi sign in page every time it detects a known WiFi. How do I stop it defaulting to a sign in page that I know I'm no where near.

    I used to use Auto Boy dashcam but the phone gets really hot and what with this bein' a Samsung an all I decided to look for another app. 🙄 Does anybody know of a good one? I like to have my speed and location on video.

    Caffeinate is free in the app store, and a very useful little app that doesn't ask for a ton of permissions there is no possible reason for. It appears in the drop down shade and one press keeps the screen on for the allotted time, say, 5 mins. One more press, 10, 15 and so on for up to 1...

    Word of warning folks. I was prompted to download Samsung SnapBiz Card for some reason and as soon as was done, the app shared everything in my profile with everybody in my contacts who also uses the app. I thought that emergency contact details would be kept secret as I did blood type etc...

    Help Ugly battery icon

    Does anyone know how to get rid of the battery icon without rooting? Exposed Installer means rooting, most apps mean using overlays that are even uglier than what we have now. Rooting means Knox is compromised, and online banking won't work.

    Camera Question

    Is there anyway I can turn the screen controls off while taking a picture? I wanted to take underwater shots in a rockpool and after setting the camera up found myself doing finger gymnastics to set the shot up whilst trying not to touching the screen!

    Root If I root?

    If I root, can I still use banking apps? I'm guessing Knox is dependant on the rom I choose, but I remember from when I last rooted a phone (many many moons ago) that online banking was no longer available because of root.

    I happen have a free BT wifi hotspot signal at the house, but the signal is only strong enough to be of any use upstairs. I there any way I can bounce, mirror, amplify or hotspot the signal so that I can use it downstairs too?
