My Galaxy S5 (verizon) was stolen the other night, and I have been trying to order my replacement phone. I do not have insurance (Asurion) on my account right now, and they won't let me add it right now just to get my new phone. My phone number is on a business account, and the business has been trying to see how they can order it, but they are having trouble as well. I know I can buy a S5 used/refurbished, or without a service plan for $300-600. But why do that if I can get a replacement/upgrade from Verizon, or an online place like Amazon, "with a service plan" for a lot less money?
I want to know what my options are for getting this phone for the "service plan" price, which I think is around $200 or less. I know Verizon stores and sites like Amazon want to verify account holder info, but the business is too busy to deal with that right now. So is there any way to get the phone without having to give out information, like the SSN, etc. of the Verizon account holders?
