Hello Droid Incredible owners (present and future),

I am sure most of you have noticed how much this forum in particular has grown, especially if you have been here for a few months. Its a great thing that we have so many new members, and I know it helps the community advance further. But it is now getting somewhat messy, threads are being created extremely fast, and many of them are duplicate or even triplicate. We aren't trying to tell anyone to stop posting new threads, but, if it is a question about the Droid Incredible please make sure no other threads exist on the same issue. Likewise if you happen to have any good tricks, guides, or how-to's could you please try and use the Tips and Tricks sub-forum. Also, if you have a Application or Game specific question please go back to the forum index and find the Android Application or Android Games forums, only native Droid Incredible Applications should be posted in here unless it (3rd party app) is specific to the Droid Incredible.

You may start to see threads being merged, this is only because we want to have all the information on a specific issue/problem or whatever in one place. Not because we are trying to take away your thread, but because we need to keep our "home" tidy. If you truly think your thread shouldn't have been merged then please PM a Moderator or Admin and politely explain why and we will do our best to review the situation. This main Droid Incredible forum is mostly for comments about the Droid Incredible, reviews, questions from people considering getting the Droid Incredible, and questions/comments about accessories for it. That definitely isn't the only threads you can post, but just try and follow the above guidelines when creating a new thread and deciding where to post it.

Thanks a bunch for reading this and understanding what needs to be done to keep this place usable. If you have any questions you can PM any of the Guides, Mods or Admins.

UPDATE: We now have a Support and Troubleshooting sub-forum. If you have any issues software or hardware related please post them in there.

http://androidforums.com/introductions/704-site-rules-guidelines.html Don't forget to read that also. And these two http://androidforums.com/site-updat...4-zero-tolerance-policy-all-members-read.html

P.S. Please, look before posting a new thread! If you see anything similar then post in it instead. We don't want to start deleting threads so for now we will just merge them but if it gets really bad we have no choice. Thanks.

Please also take the time to read: Battery Threads (READ ME!)

In response to the recent behavioral and organizational issues within the HTC Incredible forum, I have unfortunately been forced to make this post. Listed below are the new guidelines which you are expected to follow at all times.

Posting Guidelines:
  • Look before posting a new thread! If you see anything similar then post in it instead.
  • Use descriptive thread titles when creating a new thread.
  • Don't make pointless rude/nonconstructive replies. "This thread sucks," etc.
  • If someone comes here and asks a question, either answer it or don't reply at all.
  • Stay on topic! Strive to make the topics meaningful by staying with the subject at hand in the first post.
  • Listen to the Staff. if a staff members asked you to stop, then stop. Be it asking to reopen closed threads, starting a fight, etc.

Behavioral Guidelines:

  • Name calling - don't do it, period! This needs to stop!
  • Foul language - it needs to be used at a minimum. In some cases it's alright, but use your common sense.
Something like, "Damn, that's the shit!" - that's fine.
Now, something like, "Go **** yourself!" - That's not fine. Starred out or not.
  • Using "Gay" - don't do it, period! This will not be tolerated.
  • Be respectful to all members, ans staff all the time.
  • If somebody is breaking the rules, there is a report button. Use it!
We always encourage you to report threads, unhelpful users, and anyone being malicious or rude.
Do not take it upon yourself to handle the situation, let an Administrator or Moderator deal with it. If you're not a staff member, don't act like one!
In case you didn't know, the report button looks like this and is located at the bottom left of every post:
    report.gif
  • If there is a user really getting on your nerves, you can ignore them. To ignore a user, go to your User CP and in the left Nav Panel under Miscellaneous, select [Buddy / Ignore Lists], type the username you wish to ignore in the Ignore List blank and click [Update Ignore List]. Posts from users that you are ignoring are hidden from view when logged into the forums.

Please also take the time to review the Site Rules/ Guidelines as well as the Zero Tolerance Policy and consider this your forewarning.

To those of you who are active and helpful parts of the community, and those that are just looking for help, we apologize for letting it to get to this point.

If you have any questions what so ever, I or any staff member will be more than happy to address those via PM.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I can only hope that the problems discontinue.
