Help with phoenix suit

Hi Terry and welcome to Android Forums!

It will help to know what tablet you have: if it's a more popular tablet, we likely have a forum for it and an "All Things Root" sub-forum where folks can help you. See if it's listed here:

Always feel free to ask any questions you may have.

It's great to have you here :)

Hmmm... and Allwinner A31? Sounds like a Chinese knockoff tablet to me :(

That means that development for this tablet is going to be virtually non-existent... from rooting exploits to custom recovery to custom ROM. You may have to be satisfied with 4.1.1 with this tablet.

More popular tablets tend to be more costly when new, but they also have a larger community of developers who work on keeping them up to date.

Sorry this isn't the answer you were looking for, but unless someone else here has a solution, it's all I have for you

You are free to check out the General Tablet Talk forum and see if there is anything else you can do to maximize enjoyment of your tablet as is. You might start with defining exactly what it is about 4.2.2 that you want that 4.1.1 doesn't have, and try substitutes that work.
