Kindle Fire has 6 GB free space, Nook Tablet has 1 GB!

I just ran across "The 16GB Nook Tablet Only Lets You Use 1GB Freely" (via Dvice). It reveals that although the Nook Tablet proclaims 16 GB of storage (twice that of Kindle Fire's 8 GB), only 1 GB is available for non-Barnes & Noble content!

So in reality, that means that the Kindle Fire has six times the available space for us to geek-out.

32Gb card cost $40 puts the price of the Nook around $300.
So is the $100 premium worth it?

And if for those that say yes then I say why not spend $400 and get the Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus or one of the other better tablets now that you into that price range?

I mean I don't have a extract 32gb card sitting around.

The Nook tablet can't compete with the Kindle Fire, or any Kindle for that matter. You always have to read about these products before you buy. B+N just doesn't have the services to compete. Even IPad is having a hard time.
