i have had my MoviePass since earlier this year. It is great.. i have enjoyed it.
i see about 3-4 movies a month.
saved a lot of money!

$10.. is cheap!!!

They are loosing money.. I can see that.
MoviePass spend more than they take in with monthly fee.
i hear they are loosing 10 million or more a month!

the parent company: Helios and Matheson stock was trading at around $30.
today.. it has dropped to $.08. WOW!!!!

my friend thinks this service is so popular, it will not die.. and will make a comeback.
he wants to buy $10,000 worth of stock. I told him that was a very very bad idea.
if it come back to just $5.... he would make...$625k. That is a big gamble!

so what are your thoughts for the future of this company??

======================================================================
on the flip side.. what happens if he shorts the stock?
if he puts in $10k (shorting the stock at $.08)..
and it is de-listed from the stock exchange?
what is the result of the investment?

today.. after the split..
$12.82 a share!
Reverse split to go from $0.08 to ~$12 would mean that you would convert 150 shares into one share. Doesn't make you richer, just means you have a $10 bill and two $1 bills instead of 1,200 pennies.
oh shiiiittt... it dont look good....
Nope, it doesn't. Maybe if your buddy had invested his $10k they could have purchased those tickets. :p
