"New Android Market" "MyZappy"

Hey guys. I have an advert that pops up on my phone (It's a green "+" in the icon tray and when you pull down the menu it talks about downloading the 'new android market place') and when I select it it takes me to a website.

The website is http://m.myzappy.com/mdn.php?sid=dd...&pid=&cd=&msisdn=&bid=&mobile=&lpn=285774&ur=

It's clearly a scam because it asks me to enter my cell phone number and underneath says $9.99/mo but I can't figure out what App I have that is allowing this advert to pop up. MyLookout hasn't found any problems with any of my apps although I do have some porn apps from mikandi downloaded (although I've never had issues with them and Lookout scans them as well)

So has anyone experienced this or know of any apps that cause it?

Its an Airpush ad. Look for Addons detector on the Market and download it. That will tell you which app has the airpush.

I think I may have figured it out. It just posted an ad for Badoo and said it was an ad by billionaire which is a 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' game I downloaded from the Market. I'm going to file complaints!

Will try the addons app and see if that works. Also going to write some letters to Google complaining about this practice. I consider it a violation of my expectations not to be spammed. Any apps that foster this behavior should be banned. Will post a warning on the offending appps

This is a good app to find annoying apps with ads.

I downloaded The Whip Sound App. That was the culprit on my phone. Again, Airpush Detector is a great app to find the offending apps.
