Help new pixel 2 - need a car charger

Since my kids all have android devices that use the micro-usb cables, I need something that can accommodate both types. I'll probably also need extra cables (sometimes I charge in my living room and sometimes in my bedroom where the wall outlet is a pain to reach), and can I use my portable batteries with this phone? I have always specifically stuck with android devices because there are no special cables and now this...
