Preparations for exciting major changes underway!

It sounds like Da Vinci code to me, can someone please explain it in a more human-readable format [emoji23]
Okay, here's the simplified version.

That works out to about $4 bucks, give or take a nickel. :D

Root subforums were removed and all root threads were moved to their parent forums. Check out a phone/tablet forum to see what went on.

Kind of a big deal, but just a "minor" change compared with what's to coming by the sounds of things. :)

ah!!!
that is why I too, did NOT notice any 'real changes" as the only thing I do is click on "New Posts". :)

Hmmm... well I really do wonder how much .... :D

Can I get a rough estimation please? :D:D:D

Speaking of the green stuffz... :D ... do you guys pay your staff? :D

I may be interested in well you know.... :D:D:D
Oh, that is a Rob question, and I believe that falls into the same category as asking how much money someone makes. Meaning, you just don't go around telling people that, hell, it can be considered rude just to ask.

That said, couple years ago when they were hiring a full time phandroid writer, Rob advertised the job could pay up to 30k a year, depending on content/clicks, etc...

Well I am actually very shocked!

I can't believe it... anyway I kind of feel a bit embarrassed with my probing behavior and being a greedy super hyper pig :(

Because I have been doing so well in life lately I just want more and more and more... feel like I have become this evil bastard ... obsessed with money... feel like I have become super evil... feel kind of evil these days... really no jokes... it seems to be all I care about... when I talk to people they can see me drolling over it like some kind of God...

I can't believe how little money people make over there.... I am truly horribly shocked.... I mean come on... only 50K per year?

That's shocking!

I work in a highly specialized (and only a few ever really really get into it) environment so my salary is so extremely or highly disproportionate to a large majority I guess you could say.

Maybe I really am being a bit rude and obnoxious... well sorry to have slightly derailed the thread guys. Man now I feel really sorry for you Yanks!

Man feeling a bit embarrassed ... well at least I will keep to myself a bit more :)

Thanks for the tip NightAngel

It's more complicated than just comparing the two numbers, though. For starters, one dollar is worth far more than one rand. On the other hand, even if you account for the exchange rate, things are typically cheaper in South Africa. There's a lot of dull economic theory to get into to make those kinds of comparison.

I found that line to be very useful in the past when entering a forum and looking for what was new.

With the merge of the Root sub-forum to the forum some forums (like Motorola Droid X) are a little challenged in that it has 11 stickies.

The line would be very helpful.

The "go to first unread" post button was also very useful.
