Samsung and Apple under investigation in Italy over planned obsolescence

The Italian Competition and Market Authority (AGCM) has officially opened an investigation against Apple and Samsung over reduced performance of older phones. The Apple thing isn't new, but late last year Samsung publicly stated that it doesn't slow slow phones down, so it's strange that they, too, are included in the investigation.

I only go back to the Samsung Galaxy S2 I used and sold but the guy I sold it to still works with me and uses it and hasn't complained yet.

S2 is still relatively new and the latest being SENT costs quite a lot more so, don't see why he'd complain. The S2 is a well built tablet.

But the Galaxy S2 (not Tab S2) is a phone from 2011 - the model that really established the Galaxy S range IMO, since the original Galaxy S was not that impressive.
