Wanted: couch

Does anybody on here have a red or burgundy couch for sale? If I'm going to get new furniture, it may as well be from people I trust. I would prefer a 3 seater, but other is ok.

Given that the people on this forum are spread out all over the world, aside from all over the US, it's not the best place to look for a large item that can only be picked up locally with a van or truck. Craigslist would be a better choice, although personally I wouldn't want anyone else's used furniture.

As @Fox Mulder said, this isn't the best place to look for something like that. CraigsList is certainly an option, but...yeah, I wouldn't want some stranger's stuff either.

I do have an idea, though! Are you on NextDoor? They have an app, too. It's a really cool platform because only people who actually live in a neighborhood can register in it. So you're literally dealing strictly with neighbors. You can set your preferences to include nearby neighborhood posts as well.

On my NextDoor, a day doesn't go by with no furniture posted. Much of it's free, some for sale. All of it from people directly in my neighborhood. I don't buy used furniture, but if I did, I'd rather buy it from a neighbor than some random stranger.

Well, I'm not a millionaire. I guess if I could I would spare no expense. Maybe I would even build my own. I could have a really cool James Bond couch, with an ejector seat for those annoying guests.

I wasn't a millionaire when I furnished my first few places. There are lots of options, including:

- NextDoor
- garage sales
- used furniture stores
- Goodwill, Salvation Army stores
- Big Lots!
- thrift shops
- lightly damaged merchandise at furniture stores

You don't have to spend a fortune on furniture.

If there is a CORT Furniture Outlet near you they can probably find one. CORT specializes in gently used Corporate office furniture. Surprisingly low prices to actually buy.
