According to T-Mo, in order to take advantage of their WiFi calling feature (which will route your call over WiFi if the cell coverage sucks, or you can select if you are roaming) ...
"To use Wi-Fi calling, you'll need a supported T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling-capable phone."
While this is the same net function as a Skype call, the WiFi feature is built-in to the phone's OS and dialer, with full access to the existing contact list, so there's no need for a third-party app or to load contacts into the third-party app. Sounds cool.
Is the MXPE such a device? It is not even mentioned on the T-Mo list of supported devices, but that could just be b/c it's so early after launch.
