Would you miss dual front speakers?

Many of the early prototypes and leaks are showing a lack of dual front speakers which have been featured on the past few major HTC models

I am surprised as well. I hope there are 2 models or more options with the rumored HTC built Nexus line

judging by the leaks there will be a variant that still has the front facing speakers.

It's really all about the sound quality. My Nexus 6 sounds OK, but not fantastic. I would give up the two front facing speakers for a better sound. After all, you really don't get the stereo separation with the speakers that close together anyway.

Yes:
I'd rather have 'em than not,not a deal breaker,but,the reason I'd rather have at least one FF Speaker is avoiding the inadvertent covering of the bottom-mounted speakers,which is the status quo on most phones today.

What we have on the HTC 10 is perfectly fine with me:
A FF Speaker & in place of a 2nd FF Speaker,the return of capacitive buttons.
I like the new HTC 10,though if I do get it,I won't be an early adopter:
The earliest would be when S-Off is achieved on either the Unlocked or T-Mobile variants...............

I'm really going to miss the front facing speakers. I love to watch videos without having to put on earphones all the time, sometimes it really hurts your ears. Anyway, with the HTC 10, they are promising Hi-Fi Audio and better BoomSound. Also there's going to be a woofer at the bottom of the phone. Hopefully that will maintain the sound quality. *fingers crossed*

I generally only listen to media through headphones - mostly it would be antisocial of me to do otherwise. So while it's nice for occasional use, in practice the loudness and quality of the ringtone is the main thing for the speakers for me. So to me they were definitely in the "nice to have, not a deal breaker" category.

Agreed, I would rather have a higher quality sound that is clearer when making a speakerphone call or watching videos. If I need stereo separation, I'll use the HQ Earbuds. Good idea HTC.

That's OK because I have a set of high quality jbl earbuds anyway although I would love to try the HTC branded ones.

The way I read it is that they will come with earbuds, just not the HQ JBAudio ones... And I wouldn't use them, but hell, I much prefer they include them...

Of course, my wife still uses the Beats Earbuds that came with my HTC ReZound

Any chance I am going to be able to use my HTC BoomBass with the HTC 10? I really like my HTC ONE Max paired with my HTC BoomBass. If not, the ONE Max may be left to wireless duty and music media player at work. And the 10 will be in my pocket.

I don't use the speakers on my phones or tablets. I use earbuds, headphones, or bluetooth speakers.

Now that I have the 10 I dont think I will miss the dual front speakers. I am pretty happy with the sound quality of the 10. I do think the dual front speakers are very nice and I really liked them but it is hard to complain about the sound quality on the 10.
