AppenOnline, a crowd-sourcing company (something like Mturk created by Amazon) is currently looking for US born (must be 18 years of age or older), English speaking males to work on a project. The purpose of this project is to improve their client's talk-to-text technology and its ability to identify words from different voices, however the data is COMPLETELY anonymous, will never be published anywhere, and is purely for research purposes only. The prompts are short (one word or brief phrases), so this is pretty speedy and simple work. You must have an Android device (phone, tablet, etc.) and Google Chrome. They are accepting a limited amount of people using a desktop or laptop computer with Google Chrome – Will need a mic or headset with mic. The total number of prompts to record is 1500 and should take you no longer than 2 to 2.5 hours to complete. The set flat rate is $27 AUD and you will be paid through PayPal subjection to filling out an invoice form after the completion of your recordings. It is important to note that you have to complete the whole quota to get paid. I have completed the task for the data collection for Us born, English speaking females project and have been paid.
