Anyone on Verizon?

I'm reading about issues with crappy connection/service, I'm blaming Verizon because Verizon.

I don't have the phone but my son's girlfriend may want get one, she just asked if I knew about the connection trouble. She has a SIM to swap so shouldn't run into actual activation issues. But a steady signal is pretty important and may not be the case?

Anyone on Verizon who can comment one way or another?

Verizon and AT&T are still the two best of options for business.

I'm not asking about service in general.

Verizon is famous for not being able to get their act together for newly released unlocked phones. They appear to be at it again with the Moto G5 Plus.

I get the idea that Big Red/Big Brother wants you to have an iPhone, a select Samsung or a Motorola Droid.

I just put a G5 Plus on Verizon and haven't seen or noticed any issues. There is a thread on the Moto forums about not being able to dial 911 if HD Calling is enabled. Motorola has acknowledged the problem and have stated they will issue an update to address the issue.

I saw that and am following one that discusses the bad call in general issue. It does seem to be tied to HD/VoLTE so maybe it'll get fixed with the coming fix.
