Apple admits they purposely slow down old iPhones

Apple has admitted to slowing down old iPhones in software updates. They say it's to help older iPhones retain better battery life over time, though many have long suspected that it's due to planned obsolescence.

And then charge you for a new battery. Yeah, disturbing, I don't own one, but that practice may eventually leak to other manufacturers.
