type in your "SPC" number you got for the password hit enter
tap HDR/1X Selection
select "CDMA only Mode " instead of the default "Hybrid Mode"
tap ok
tap the Back key Till you get back to the Home screen..
REBOOT
Your phone will stop trying to go to 3g so it saves the battery.
IF and when metro gives us better DATA thru-put you'll
have to change this PHONE setting Back!
