elm obdll scanner software question

i have the elm obdll usb connected dongle and it came with some programs, when i installed them all seemed ok but they need a ket to be able to run. it looks like they have the keygen but when i try to open it windows will not let it open. one file it says it a trojan windows calls it trojan:win32/orsamirfn and the other file windows calls a hacktool called hacktool:win32/keygen.

now the hacktool may be a legit program that windows thinks is a bad program but the one windows calls a trojan i think is a trogan.

i copied them to the hard drive and scanned them there and got the same thing. so windows will not clean them only quarantine then remove them or let me run them so any ideas here? thanks

Well since we're on Android forums I'll just say use it with Torque Pro or Car Scanner and call it a day.

edit- just saw it's USB. So I'll add get the Bluetooth version and use with the above.

i did look it up and window said that more than half the pcs that scan for that program on there pcs have a virus do to that file. that is why i posted just incase some android devices ran across this the cd has phone apps and it is possible that virus is there also. maybe some other have ran that file and will know for sure it is ok to run. but the trojan file with it i will not run.

Torque Pro is what I use with my Bluetooth OBD2 module and smartphone, works quite well to get the code(s), and it's worth it to buy the license and unlock all features of the app.

yes i have a bluetooth version but also this usb unit and i was trying to get this to work but it seems the code generator is full of malware and i just can't find it online anymore, most sites come back and say no longer supported. so i guess it is time to toss it out. i may take it aparts and see if by chance it can be set up for bluetooth. i may have that built into is and they just added the cable for the people with pcs. thanks

never mind i took the usb cable off and it did not use bluetooth so i tossed it out as junk. the gentool did not work with windows windows said they were full of viruses so i will just get a new one for the phone

so why we are on the topic what bluetooth unit will do things like reset the e-brake the oil change and do bidirectional commands? i would like to command antilock brakes and reset the e-brake and the egr valve . plus antilock brakes for bleeding them after brake work. and any other bidirectional commands i can get. so does anyone have a elm327 that does that? i have the vgate, nexzscan, torque lite and can get pro. fastlink x , bluedriver car scanner. and a few other apps. so because i do not have the elm327 device my kid took it before i could test those apps on my phone. what one of those apps will do all of those tests if any? if they do not then what elm dongle will do those tests and what app will do them. thanks
