i blocked my friend on watsapp

when i block a friend of mine on watsapp, can he/she see my profile photo? does it matter if an existing photo or a new photo after or before blocking? or he or she sees nothing?

also, can i get messages when i received while he was blocked, upon unblocking them?

i have samsung galaxy s3 if it matters
