Location services not recognized by apps?

Some apps that require GPS/location services to be turned on will not recognize that it is on. 2 apps that I just installed yesterday, EasyShift and Field Agent, both ask when they're first opened to allow access, and I hit yes, but then EasyShift just shut down every time I open it because it thinks that location services are turned off. They, obviously, are not. My maps apps (Google maps, Uber driver and waze) all work fine as do most of the other apps I have that use location services. I can't remember which app I had the same problem with before but it was never resolved.

For the heck of it I just installed EasyShift on my old phone (galaxy S5) and after requesting the permission, it works perfectly fine. The issue has to be with my phone somewhere. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, ideas or fixes for this? Screenshots attached of pertinent information.
