Help mobile network state question

Hi a quick question if I may. I have a galaxy fame on android 4.1.2 and for a while I have been having issues with intermittantly not being able send/receive mms or calls. I had just moved house and thought I had moved to a reception black hole, but I have just noticed that when I connect to my wifi I disconnect from the mobile network state and reconnect again as soon as I turn wifi off. I can't figure out why, any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forums . your WiFi is a money saver .this knocks your carrier so that the phone will run just on WiFi which is faster but you still get carrier info such as SMS or MMS . some devices rely on the WiFi to send MMS . it do quicker download
