Best way to find something like notification history is to open the settings and use the search feature to find it. Things like that can be in different places on different phones or with different OS versions.

The simplest way to hide apps is to install a replacement launcher (I use Nova). I don't know Moto's launcher so don't know whether it has such a feature, though for most things I'd start by pressing and holding on an app and seeing what options you get.

unfortunately, I don't have such a function on my phone, the previous Samsung had all this with the new moto8 service, unfortunately not. I'm not an Android specialist, but I miss that on the new work phone. I have many messages a day and I like to sort them here in the notification history.
thank you for your efforts to help
