Help my motorola flipout suddenly deaf & mute

Hi:

Suddenly I make calls with my droid - I cannot hear the person I call, nor can the person I call hear me.

Not very usable for a phone.

Any thoughts?

Hi Mary.. when some say, "Droid" they don't necessarily mean the Droid 1, but perhaps the Droid 2 or X, or even the Eris, etc.

Do you have the Droid 1 (meaning just the Droid, which was out before the X and the 2)?

I want to get your question to the right device forum where those users might have a remedy for you.

Meanwhile, a reboot might do it. Also, as mentioned by sitlet, some have success by removing the battery with the device still on, a "live battery pull."

Had this happen to me once on my Droid X. Reboot fixed it, and it's never happened again.

I have no idea what exact version I have. I went into About phone and I don't see anything like droid 1, 2,X

Anyway I have a Motorola Flip out I just got from AT&T.

Battery Pull fixed the problem.
