New LG G3 and app question

Hey guys, just picked up two LG G3s for $1 on new 2 yr acts from Verizon. Love this phone! First LG devices my wife and I have had. One question though and maybe you all can help: I downloaded the (old) phandroid app and I cannot access the forum section. I had to use the mobile web version of this forum and I hate doing that. Anyone know what's up?

The forum section of that app ,for the lack of a more technical explanation,isn't compatible w/the new format & will not be updated for such.

The Phandroid app works however I can't create a new topic. I refuse to install Tapatalk so the browser will do.

Which app exactly are you speaking of?
A/F has 3 in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE & from what I see:

The PHANDROID (OLD) app hasn't been updated since June 29, 2011.

I agree,much better.
I still miss the PHANDROID (OLD) apps' forum functionality (dual actually,as it has the PHANDROID side as well),but,I noticed the difference in the Tapatalk-Forum app myself.

Currently using the forum app now and I like it (in other cool tech news I'm getting my LG G watch tomorrow)
