note 6 not charging connected to computer

When on my computer i hook my note 9......
I get the charge symbol but it doesnt charge.

Why would this be???

Note 6 or Note 9?
Try a different cable or use the one that comes with the device

That is typical with charging from computer jacks.

Are you using a laptop computer, because some of those may not supply enough current via USB to properly charge a phone.

there is no note 6......LOL

samsung never made one. it jumped to the note 7 after the note 5

they just wanted the note series to match with the s series of galaxy phones. they launched the s7 series in the spring and in the fall they launched the note 7. it made an easy transition for the note and s series to eventually merge. the upcoming s22 ultra 5G was the first phone to merge both phones together.
