just make sure your model number matches before doing anything.

also just an fyi for your next phone, if you ever want to root your phone always head on over to Xda Developers Forum

xda is a forum mostly for developers. it will be here where you can find whether your phone is rootable or not. if your phone has a forum section then you are good to go. if there is no section for your phone, then you will be SOL as far as rooting goes or at least getting custom roms. custom roms would be my main reason to ever root a phone.

just remember no dev=no fun.

just want to add that you should read as much as possible. i would read that entire thread if you have the time. be prepared and ready for when you actually root your phone. and please feel free to ask as many questions here if you like. the more you ask the better you will be prepared to root your phone.

don't rush or panic and start doing things without knowing what you are doing. it will make the situation worse.
