SD Card Won't Mount

Hi Everybody. My Name Is Harold.
I got this samsung galexy tab a 8" with 16gb. There is 9gb used out of 16.
But won't let me download anything because I don't have sd card. So put
sd card in and it says it can not mount sd card. I tried 5 different memory
cards and same thing. factory reset it numerous times same result. Can't
even root it to get access to it since can't download anything and computer
Sure am stumped. Anybody out there see any fix for this. I would appreciate
ANY help. Would love to root it but I can't do anything with it but search
internet or watch something. No Downloads at all. Kinda worthess like this.

128 external SD cards is max size for your model.
Can your PC read the cards?
Have you tried a factory reset?

Yes factory reset many times. computer sees it but nothing can be downloaded cause it just sits there

Don't understand why if I have 6gb left on internal card, then why am I not able to download anything.

I tried 1gb, and 4gb and same result
