Switching Wireless Phone Carriers Different From the Branded Smartphone Cause Locking?

If the phone carrier’s branded smartphone (example: AT&T) is locked with another wireless phone carrier (example: T-Mobile) and someone changes to another carrier (again, not the same branded smartphone’s carrier; example switch to: Tracfone Wireless or Straight Talk Wireless), will this trigger the smartphone become locked by the branded smartphone’s carrier (example: AT&T) or not? Is it my understanding that if you buy a SIM card for the wireless phone carrier you want on a GSM network phone, there is NO issue to switch wireless phone carriers, but what about the possibility of the phone carrier’s branded smartphone (example: AT&T) becoming re-locked returning to the branded smartphone's settings and configurations (example: AT&T)?

No, unlocking does just that, it removes the network sim lock. Using it on another network does not lock it to that network (so your starting sentence about a carrier branded phone being locked to a different carrier doesn't make any sense), and swapping SIMs again will not reinstall the lock.
