Unlimited Tethering for ZTE Zmax Pro MetroPCS/T-Mobile

If you are using Wifi mode on FoxFi and you have the DefaultTTL mod on your PC, there is no reason why torrenting shouldn't work. I use Tixati to torrent and I have not had a single issue.

FoxFi USB mode I don't know.

I don't know what you mean by Proxy, FoxFi doesn't have one.

I am using Wifi mode on FoxFi, and have the DefaultTTL mod. When I refer to the proxy in FoxFi, I'm talking about the option in FoxFi entitled Run Proxy. This option only becomes available after clicking to Activate WiFi Hotspot, and can be selected by clicking the button with the 3 white squares in the top right of the FoxFi screen, then clicking Run Proxy in the bottom middle. a window pops up to confirm that Web Proxy is running and says to set your computer browser to the proxy address: 192.168.1.1 port 8000. (this was easy enough for me to do on Mozilla Firefox, I just cant correctly set the proxy address in my uTorrent preferences)

So far using the "proxy option" in FoxFi and configuring my browser to match the proxy address has been the only way i've been able to successfully connect and surf on a browser, i just haven't been able to torrent yet. I'll try the client you use :)

----EDIT----

installed Tixati and began downoading a torrent right away without changing any config. hotspot data still not recording! problem solved, as far as I'm concerned, thanks!

**UPDATED**
** 01/10/17**
STILL WORKING AS OF JANUARY 10th 2017
Credit - Me

This method is VERY fast and VERY easy if you are on the go or if you don't care for gaming.
What you need :
Windows XP or higher / Linux hasn't been tested
UltraSurf

Hope you guys enjoy!

Ok, don't know what unlimited tethering does. There's a lot of public wifi now. I would have needed this on my hack GPS when public wifi is non existent back in 2007. But I googled what ultrasurf does so thanks.

Your post is helpful for me in that I can post now in a forum I was banned. o_O using ultrasurf. :p

Way way easier than those proxy website I used to use no hassle at all. Although I must say I encountered a lot of HTTP errors until I find the culprit.

Again, it works fine for me. Sometimes the torrent it's self is slow. I've gotten 4MB/PS downloads. Very wonderful :p

Hey, don't go on here saying that, it might upset the mods lol
A lot of websites already ban the UltraSurf IP addresses. It's easier to go on HideMyAss and look at their public proxy list. Each proxy only works for about a day so you can pretty much guarantee that it hasn't been banned from anywhere.

Hi guys. Looking for help to do this trick with PS4. On laptop and other devices everything is fine, even on PS4 I can browse websites with high speed, but I can't download any games from PSN, very low speed. I have no ideas what to do, travel a lot and can't have home Internet only hotspot on smartphone. Please help, want to play games so much. Thanks.

SO i have found that foxify works still with the ZTE Z981 to wifi tether with speeds over 45mbps even after being tether throttled to 50kbs .. the only way i was able to get it to work on windows 10 was to enable proxy use in the foxify settings. Then on my pc on windows 10 setting the proxy settings to the same.. however i use my tethering for gaming and i need to figure out another way due to steam problems. Steam does not allow a proxy .. but the dowload speeds are fantastic ! if only usb tether worked...

Really good info guys!

My goal is get the speed as I am on my laptop with other devices

I've been using FoxFi for a bit now just the app and PC. Doing research and such. Now I got FoxFi working with my Linksys router with DD WRT on it in repeater bridge. My PC is hooked up through the repeater atm, but is slow without the TTL tweak(netsh int ipv4 set glob defaultcurhoplimit=65) in command promt as admin on Win10 without the anniversary update. Which works fine with the PC. But if I change TTL back to default and test the scripts on the router and do a ping on the PC. I get 64 from localhost and 128 from the router. I would like to get some advice on inputting the right TTL tweak into the router. I've tried using the commands in administration and used this script "iptables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o 'get_wanface' -j TTL --ttl-set 65" Once I get the right ping from my repeater I will be adding an AP to it

I think this will be helpful if someone can help me out. Read this thread twice now wit what I'm trying to achieve and I think you guys are on the right path. Somestuff makes sense. Not sure why the need for Ultrasurf? What does it do on the PC when its connected to FoxFi? Is it something like FoxFi's "Run Proxy" tab? Where you enable on the other end of the device you're wanting to connect?

Windows limits the ICS (Internet Connection Sharing to 1 mbps (that would be about 120 K / sec. So that is about right. You have to root your phone and adjust the ttl and use a proxy also. I have a ZTE MAX Pro and I use Windows 10 with Default TTl of 65 and FoxFi With Proxy.. Works fine
Foxfi with proxy on Windows 10 is all you need to do.
My tether speeds from this set up i get the same data speeds Tethered to laptop windows 10 as the zmax pro.
Why mess with ttl?

In Windows settings go to internet then proxy and change proxy address and port to the proxy set by Foxfi, hit save ..Bam..
