Now on Tap* provides Google Now contextual results right in the app you're using. Just tap and hold down the home button and Now on Tap will assist you with relevant information based on whatever you’re doing in your phone at that moment.
Let's say you receive a text message from a friend inviting you to watch a new movie. Just hold the home button and Now on Tap will provide links to info about that movie and shortcuts to the apps you may need. Once you're done, the back button will take you back to the messaging app so you can reply to your friend.
