What makes the Moto X4 a better buy than the Moto G5(S) Plus?

Is it the classy metal and glass build? Slightly more powerful processor (Snapdragon 630 vs Snapdragon 625)?

Honestly why would I pick the X4 over the cheaper and still capable G5 Plus or G5S Plus?

It’s actually $400 in the US. And I was asking about it compared to the Moto G5 Plus, not the iPhone.

The major deal breaker for me on the G5 is no NFC. Other than that I wouldn't overlook the G5.
