So I have an odd random (same) image that appears for a brief second every twenty to fifty unlocks on my lockscreen. This image doesn't exist anywhere in my phone, contacts, picture gallery, videos etc., except every so often on my lockscreen...for a second as a full screen pop up, then it disappears and the phone unlocks as normal. One forum said it was the "always on display/clock" in the settings, this is not the fix. After months of trying to get a screenshot of this elusive image, was able to get one (attached). Any ideas on how to locate and fix where this is coming from? Thanks for the help!

So on my moto edge I had "For a few years" throughout time and space,with my old Moto z2 still kicking into gear, I am wondering how many years, months, days before running into serious troubles with the Moto edge plus,I have now.. before going to get a new cell?

I have a Fusion F202 Android 12 tablet, the TalkBack facility started for whatever reason and it locked up my tablet completely and it took me over an hour of fiddling to get it back. My question is why did this happen and how on earth do you get out of it? I had previously turned the TalkBack facility off in settings.
I am new to Android and have not become educated with all it's little foibals

I have a ANS ack2326 Android 12, Started to try and watch movies, or TV programs, however when I start watching in Max screen it wants to revert to Minimized in my Apps Menu, strange?? How to correct??

I've wondered why my SMART LOCK feature in my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which keeps the phone unlocked in trusted locations or connected to trusted devices no longer works, having the need to continually unlock the phone at home etc.
Discovered the Locations and Device settings are gone on SMART LOCK page so there's no means of setting it.
All software updates are current.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Samsung S10e/Android 12. The status bar used to show at the top of the home screen all the time. Since the most recent update, you now have to pull down to see the status bar. Any way to restore its showing all the time?

Hi,

The New York Times recently started using AdChoice ads on their app. I am a paying subscriber. Originally they said the ads would be temporary but they're now decided to keep using them. Most of them, ast least in the beginning were about Amazon.

I have a Note 8 which I do not use as a phone. I use it as a "back up" computer.

I do not have a lot of apps and I also have Norton. I have no malware or other problems with this device.

I have written back and forth with customer service at the Times, to no avail.

Is there a way that I can block, get rid of these ads on my Note 8? I have gone into that opt out data base which goes through all the various advertisers but I've never found that to work in the long run. I have "do not track" turned on, it was turned off before the ads started running.

These adchoice ads are now showing up more, I think on other sites as well. I think it's more. Could the Times be cross "contaminating" my phone?

I have a new Fusion F202 tablet running Android 12, how can I record internal screen sounds onto the tablet ie bird sounds /whale singing ect.

I liked my Samsung Galaxy A21, but the glue holding the case together lost adhesion. I used my Likewize insurance, and they sent me a Galaxy A13 as a replacement. Problem is, this is a shitty phone with a weird OS (Android 13 with silly features). The most irritating problem I'm having at the moment is that the "Mute All Sounds" keeps turning itself on with no known action on my part. Please understand that I know how to temporarily turn that on and off; that's not what I'm asking.

What I AM asking is if there is any way to permanently remove/disable the ability to turn it on at all under any circumstances. I want that feature to not exist!

How can I accomplish this? Are there special commands to alter features, sort of like how browsers like Firefox allow you to alter "hidden" settings with the "about:Config" command. I'm not going to violate the warranty such as by rooting or the like.

I am using a Pixel 6. When I get an email, text, FB message...anything really, it drops down for a few seconds and then goes away. There are no longer little icons in the status bar showing me that I have an unread text. So for example, if I'm on FB and I look up for a few seconds and during that time I get a text and the drop down notification goes away before I look back down, I have no idea that I just missed a text. It used to work. I was using Do Not Disturb for a little while but then I turned that off once I read that might be the cause. Still no change. It got the March update yesterday but this was happening before that. The picture shows all I see and then that goes away

For a long while I have been using GoldenDict on different devices to utilize ".dz" and ".index" files. Now with the upgrade to Android 13, GoldenDict keeps crashing on my devices. Could you introduce a solution to the crash or an alternative app which opens the forementioned files on Android 13?

Google Pixel 6. The latest Android 13 update . While traveling this past weekend I know it's going down the interstate that my ETA at the bottom of the navigation was either black or white depending on the color mode. I really like the green, Amber, red that it displays when there are traffic issues on the route. But currently my Google maps is not displaying any of that. It's just black or white. I'm using the traffic layer. The speed also stays white, meaning it would turn red if over the speed limit, etc. It stays the same color as well. The navigation and locations are working great. Everything else navigation wise seems pretty spot on. Does anyone know what else I'm missing or overlooking to get those colors back working again? I appreciate any help and feedback. Thank you all.

Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to copy app data (save game etc.) from Google One backup of my previous phone to the new one. Both devices are running on Android 13 and I'm talking about copying one application data only, not the whole backup. Specifically I would like to copy all old data from Pocket Rouge game.

I was creating, essentially, a new GUI in Total Launcher. It's been working really well for months now.
A few days ago, I must have accidentally changed a setting - and Total Launcher is no totally unavailable.
It's there under Settings/Apps, but the "open" button is missing.
The icon for TL is there in the app tray, but when I hit it - this may be the weirdest thing - it takes me to the settings page for the TL app (with the missing "open" button).
Total Launcher is NOT in the list of available home (launcher) apps any longer.
If I open the app page for TL, it appears to running. I can force stop it - that changes nothing, and doesn't solve the problem - which entrenches my suspicion that the problem is a system setting.
All that's left to do is uninstall and reinstall the app, but that would mean a tremendous amount of work, and I have the sense that there's a button accidently pushed somewhere that merely needs to be released to fix the problem!

Old phone: some Huawei with Android 9. New phone: Realme with Android 11.

Managed to get all (?) stuff transferred from old phone to the new via this Google transfer service. But Google Messages won't play. All previous messages (still there in the old phone and in computer) won't show up in the new one.

Have spent two days searching the web and trying all suggestions to no avail and about to go bananas.

Can someone here help out?

I could use a lil help. I have a 13 year old daughter that I am worried may have found a way to communicate in ways beyond me being able to verify so I am coming here with my questions hoping someone can explain this. So on my daughter's Google activity it's will randomly nit daily shoe used com. Samsung . Android.mtp then immediately after list used com.samsung.android.messaging or used Google or used com.samsung.android.gallery. but no messages show up on our bill at these times. Not sure what MTP can do. But does this mean that she has found a way to communicate with someone but somehow able to hide it from the Verizon statement? I know we can't control everything but the young man she was secretly talking to is very bad news, he already has criminal charges by another family whom he stole from. And we will go to any length to protect our daughter. Thank you for any help you could give me

I just got the galaxy s23ultra, and the guy at the store said "all you have to do is scan with old phone and android will do the rest", yeah right. I barely got started when my new phone says old phone needs an updated version of smart switch. We'll how am I suppose to do that when it is now deactivated?

I recently bought a 'new' Android phone (Pixel 6a). I needed to check the phone's details for a different issue so clicked Settings/About and noticed that the phone number showing was not my number (my wife's does match her's). Does this mean I have been sold a refurbished phone rather than a new one, as described by the Amazon seller?
