I'm reading the first book in the Gears of War series. I started reading it in preparation for the new Gears of War video game that comes out next year. I'm a little sad since I realized last week that it is glorified fan fiction, though
Finished The Button Man then read The Bookseller and am halfway through The Crypt Thief. Six more to go in the series.
I also finally actually read A Study in Scarlett and have queued up A Sign of the Four (Sherlock Holmes) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I actually do think I read them, probably in school. It seemed like I knew some of it but not all. I'll do the 4 novels then see about the 946 short stores
They are all worthy of a read. I'm such a fan that I have every movie I could find back in the day.. mostly ordered on VHS. A decade later I duplicated that with DVD. When I get bored, I'll watch a few. I have the novels and short stories in hardback as well as kindle. When I was going to college I was able to find a book at the library that was the complete Sherlock collection and it was all annotated. It was amazing the lengths the purists had gone to support or dispute some of Doyle's writings. Train times and the like were highly debated. So was Watson's war injury. Everything was analyzed In Sherlock fashion. I'd like to own that book!
That sounds like a great book actually. I sort of started looking at some of the discussions about it all, I won't get bogged down in all that yet, let's see where the journey takes me! I know I read Hound of the Baskervilles but don't really recall it well. After I do the 4 novels I'll see what Libby and Kindle have to offer and go from there. Looking forward to them really.
Still with Doctor Sleep, I know I posted it over five years ago when I first purchased it..
Still its like Stan Lee type it up though, such a great dark comic book, whilst bible reading Watchmen all books including the Button Saga, Doomsday clock both books too.
