Fatality 2023.

This one is a real surprise. :(

RIP to amazing driver Ken Block, who was killed yesterday in a snowmobile accident. He was 55.

Thanks for your spirited and entertaining driving, Mr. Block. Condolences to your family, friends, fans and loved ones.

Excerpt from an article on ESPN:

"Ken was a legend in his ability to take a vision and make it a reality. He created an industry," Steve Arpin, Block's teammate in the Nitro RallyCross series, told ESPN. "But if you were lucky enough to know him, that's where the best parts of Ken surfaced. He treated his friends like gold and would create opportunities for whoever wanted to put in the work. He was everything this world needs more of, and just happened to do a lot of really cool stuff on the side."

An avid action sports enthusiast, Block was an ambassador for the industry and a family man who, in 2022, raced the American Rally Association Championship alongside his wife, Lucy, and their 16-year-old daughter, Lia.

"This year, Ken was so happy. At the races, he was happy to be racing with Lucy and to have his daughter racing and to have his kids at most of the races," action sports icon Travis Pastrana told ESPN. "Few people get to the point in their lives where everything comes together, and to have it all taken away like this is devastating."

Wow... Ken Block.
Rest in Peace.
He carved his own niche in motor sport and was immensely skilful and talented.
Asphalt and tarmac, or any surface in a four wheel vehicle would never have got the better of him.
Very sad.

Side note : Hoping for the opposite outcome for Jeremy Renner who many will know was heavily injured by a snow plough he owned while helping others. Thoughts are he may recover his health but may have long term injuries. Wishing him well.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0091286/ Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......... This one slipped away just yesterday!!! His talents both as a voice actor as well as Terminator Franchise, did bring his powerful voice and evil eyes to life, wow......
RIP Earl Boen; thanks for sharing your talents and condolences to your family, friends and loved ones.

( @Milo Williamson , it’s probably helpful if you can take a moment to include the name of the deceased rather than just a link.)

Another drummer from the 70's has passed away. Robbie Bachman from Bachman-Turner Overdrive passed away Thursday at the age of 69. Rest in peace and thanks for the music.
I really enjoyed BTO’s music; as with Beck I hadn’t realized his age, although I thought Beck was younger and Bachman was older.

RIP Mr. Bachman, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.
